Level 1 — Getting Grounded lays the doctrinal foundation for the entire Remnant Bible Study Course. Across eight lessons, you’ll work through Salvation, the nature and Person of God, the nature of Man, the Biblical covenants, the authority and composition of the Bible itself, the doctrine of the Christian life, the doctrine of the Church, and Biblical eschatology (Last Things). Each lesson builds directly on the one before it, moving from what it means to be saved, to who God is, to who we are as His creation, to how God has bound Himself to us in covenant, to the Book He gave us to know Him by, and finally to how we are to live as His people, gathered as His Church, and looking toward His return. Every lesson is presented in Scripture-anchored, straightforward teaching, with no denominational hedging and no academic detachment, and closes with a quiz and Assignment (essay) questions. Level 1 concludes with a cumulative Level Final Exam covering all eight lessons. A 70% or higher is required on each quiz and on the Final Exam before advancing to Level 2 — Advancing in the Faith.

Basic info
  • Eight foundational lessons — Salvation, God, Man, Covenants, The Bible, The Christian, The Church, and Last Things — each grounded directly in Scripture and free of denominational hedging.
  • Core doctrine of who God is: His triune nature as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, His communicable and incommunicable attributes, and the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
  • The doctrine of salvation, the nature of man, God's covenants with mankind, and the authority, canon, and transmission of the Bible itself.
  • Practical doctrine for the Christian life and the local church — spiritual gifts, callings, church leadership, and the fivefold ministry — closing with a full survey of Biblical eschatology from the Rapture through eternity.
Course requirements
  • A free Remnant Bible Academy account and agreement to our Enrollment Agreement — no cost and no prior coursework required to begin Level 1.
  • A personal Bible (NKJV is used throughout this course) for reference during lessons and open-book quizzes.
  • A willingness to test everything you read against Scripture and take unclear points to prayer, rather than debate doctrine point by point.
  • Completion of each lesson's quiz (and Assignment, if enrolled in the Diploma or Ministerial Ordination Program) with a score of 70% or higher, in order, before advancing to the next lesson and eventually the Level Final Exam.
Intended audience
  • New believers and longtime Christians alike who want a solid, Scripture-first doctrinal foundation before moving deeper into the RBSC curriculum.
  • Students pursuing the Basic, Diploma, or Ministerial Ordination Program — Level 1 is the required starting point for all three.
  • Anyone who has encountered shallow or inconsistent teaching elsewhere and wants to rebuild their understanding of core Christian doctrine from the ground up.
  • Small group leaders, homeschool families, and personal Bible study groups looking for a structured, sequential curriculum to work through together.
