MWR-102 — Christianity continues the Remnant Bible Academy’s Major World Religions courses with a comprehensive, Scripture-grounded study of the Christian faith itself — its founder, its origin, its core doctrines, and its living practice today. The course opens with Jesus Christ as the cornerstone of the faith, surveying fulfilled Messianic prophecy alongside His nature, life, death, and resurrection, then traces the birth of the Church and its foundational and variant beliefs. A substantial section surveys Christianity’s major branches and denominations — Protestantism, Roman Catholicism, the Orthodox Church, Anglicanism, the New Apostolic Reformation, and the wider landscape of denominational and nondenominational churches — along with church service styles, operations, and leadership. The course then turns from doctrine to discipleship: the Beatitudes and the full Sermon on the Mount, finding one’s place in the body of Christ, and waging spiritual warfare against the world, the flesh, and the devil, including a detailed treatment of the believer’s spiritual armor and weapons. A lengthy Church Age section walks through nearly two thousand years of Church history — the seven phases pictured in Revelation’s letters to the churches, a concise year-by-year timeline from 30 AD to the present, and the key events of each phase from the apostolic era to the Reformation and beyond. The lesson closes by looking to the end times and beyond: premillennialism, angelic beings, the Tribulation, Judgment Day, and eternity itself. Extensive photography and 457 cited sources support the material throughout. Required coursework for the Ministerial Ordination Program’s Major World Religions requirement, and valuable to any student who wants a thorough, honest survey of the Christian faith — its truth, its history, and the ways it has fractured and diversified over two millennia.
