MWR-101 — Judaism opens the Remnant Bible Academy’s Major World Religions courses with a comprehensive, Scripture-grounded study of the origins, law, and living practice of the Jewish faith. The Course traces Judaism’s roots from the patriarchs through Moses and the giving of the Law at Sinai, then works through the Mosaic Law in unusual depth — the Ten Commandments, the sacred calendar and feasts, the sacrificial system, the Tabernacle and both Temples, and the extensive body of civil, criminal, and social legislation that governed ancient Israel. A concise timeline carries the story from Abraham to the present day, and the course closes by examining Judaism as it exists today: its major branches, its foundational texts (the Torah, Tanakh, Talmud, and beyond), and Israel’s ongoing role in Biblical prophecy. Extensive photography and 256 cited sources support the material throughout. Required coursework for the Ministerial Ordination Program’s Major World Religions requirement, and valuable to any student seeking a solid grasp of Judaism’s history and law as the foundation Christianity itself grew out of.
