A calling worth answering

The Ministerial Ordination Program

A rigorous, Biblically-grounded path to Ordination — for those with a clear calling from God and the resolve to see it through.

The Ministerial Ordination Program

Called by God. Trained by the Word. Ordained for Service.

The Ministerial Ordination Program is the deepest track The Remnant Bible Academy offers — built for those with a clear, unmistakable calling from God to serve as a Christian Minister. It merges rigorous Biblical education with practical ministry experience, giving you the doctrinal, spiritual, and theological foundation to serve well, without the cost or timeline of a traditional seminary.

What This Program Requires

Ordination through RBA is earned, not purchased — every requirement below must be completed in full:

  • A Written Call. A 1–2 page paper describing your calling — what you feel called to do for the Lord, and how you plan to carry it out.
  • Official Application. Submit the Application for Ministerial Ordination.
  • Spiritual Gifts Assessment. Complete at least three of the five provided Spiritual Gifts Tests and send your results to your instructors.
  • The Remnant Bible Study Course. Complete the full RBSC within 24 months, with a GPA of 70% or higher.
  • Major World Religions. Complete all nine Major World Religions courses with a 70% GPA or higher on each.
  • Ministerial Thesis. A research paper of at least 5 pages on a theological topic of your choosing, using correct APA citation, due within 6 months of completing the RBSC.
  • The Ordination Covenant. Read, understand, and sign the Ordination Covenant.
  • Recorded Sermon. Submit a video recording of yourself preaching or teaching, along with a written outline.
  • Application Consent & Release Form. Read, understand, and sign the Application Consent & Release as part of your official application.
  • Final Verbal Exam. A concluding meeting to test your knowledge of Scripture and Church history.

Twenty-four months and six months might sound demanding — and they are, deliberately. A seminary education can cost well over $150,000 and take decades to finish at a leisurely pace. This program is a serious credential, not a slow one, and it’s priced and timed to make sure the people who finish it actually meant it.

Cost: $300.00 (USD), flat.

The Final Exit Exam & Ordination Service

The program concludes with a Final Exit Exam covering Biblical Literacy, Systematic Theology, Church History, Apologetics, Ethics, and Missions — assessed through single-choice questions, essays, Biblical exegesis, an oral exam, and ministry simulations.

Upon successful completion, you’ll be officially ordained in a service that includes the anointing of oil and the laying on of hands, in person where proximity allows — or held virtually via Zoom when it doesn’t.

Ordination Terms & Renewal

Ministerial Ordination through RBA is granted for a term of five years. At the end of each term, you’ll meet with RBA Leadership for an Ordination Review — a chance to reaffirm that you’re continuing to walk in your calling and remain in good standing with the Ordination Covenant and our Statement of Faith. Ministers in good standing have their Ordination renewed for another five years at that time.

A Note on Ministerial Titles

Upon ordination, RBA recognizes two titles: Minister, for male candidates, and Ministress, for female candidates — assigned according to birth gender. We know “Ministress” sounds unfamiliar to modern ears, but it’s a truthful, historic term, and we’d rather stay grounded in what’s Biblically accurate than trade it for something trendier. These titles exist to keep the focus on service, not status — whatever specific office God has gifted you for (Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, Prophetess, and so on), your calling is lived out through your character and your work, not the title on a business card.

“A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” — Proverbs 18:16
