James Burch

Co-Founder, Instructor

James met David at Lee State Prison in October 2004, and over the two decades since, they have become close friends and Ministry partners — bound together by a shared passion for helping convicted felons, a label they both carry but refuse to let define them.

James’s own story is one of profound redemption. He was saved by Jesus Christ on April 28, 1995, and in the years that followed, he devoted himself to deepening his walk with God — leading Bible studies, serving on prayer teams, and taking on leadership roles within prison ministry programs including Kairos. Since returning to society, he has served as a Sunday school teacher and small group leader at Pinehurst Baptist Church in Columbus, GA, and was an active participant and leader in the Celebrate Recovery program for nearly eight years.

From 2009 to 2023, James worked alongside David to write the 374-page Remnant Bible Study Course, RBA’s flagship curriculum — a project born from their shared burden to see the truths of the early Church restored to the modern believer. James teaches with the conviction that no one’s story is finished until God says it is, and desires to see every student he teaches saved, baptized in the Holy Spirit, and delivered — just as he was.

James’s full testimony is a powerful account of God’s redeeming grace. Read James’s Full Story on the IAOM website → HERE.
