IAOM Ecclesial Titles Available for Ordination
At It Ain’t Over Ministries (IAOM), our heart’s desire is to see you flourish in the specific calling God has placed on your life. As you approach the completion of your ordination journey, we want to share our approach to ministerial titles, which is rooted in humility, service, and a focus on God’s Kingdom.
The IAOM Titles
To keep our focus on the work of the Gospel, IAOM officially recognizes two primary titles for those ordained under our headship:
- Minister: Awarded to male candidates.
- Ministress: Awarded to female candidates.
These titles are designated based on the gender of the individual at birth. By using these consistent and Biblical terms, we ensure that the focus remains on your role as a servant of Christ.
The Heart Behind the Titles
We believe that titles should never become a source of pride or a distraction. In our experience, high-profile titles can sometimes lead to an unintended focus on status rather than service.
Choosing “Minister” and “Ministress” helps us all:
- Stay Humble: We are all fellow laborers in God’s vineyard.
- Stay Focused: Our goal is to build God’s Kingdom, not our own.
- Stay Accountable: It reminds us that our authority comes from our service and our relationship with Christ.
Living Out Your Unique Calling
We fully recognize that God may have gifted you to serve in a specific “Office” or “Role”—such as a Pastor, Evangelist, Teacher, or Prophetess. We encourage you to live out those gifts fully and daily!
Our policy is simply this: Let your service speak for itself. If you are called to be a Pastor, shepherd the flock with love; if you are called to be an Evangelist, share the Good News with passion; if your called to be a Teacher, expound upon all the Oracles of God as led of the Holy Spirit to do in their context.
You do not need a public title to fulfill the work God has given you. In fact, true impact often happens “without the fanfare.”
As Scripture reminds us: “A man’s gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.” — Proverbs 18:16
Your impact will be defined by your gifts and your character, not by the title on a business card. We invite you to embrace this journey of humility with us, operating under authority and letting your light shine through your actions.
Stay Humble. Stay Focused. Serve with Love.
